Radiology Technologist, Limited - PT, Days

Essential Functions

• Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking x-rays, following established procedures. Performs diagnostic procedures limited to the following regions proficiently: chest (not to include breast), abdomen (non-contrast procedures only), skeletal structures to include upper and lower extremities, limited spine, skull, and sinuses. Follows prescribed safety standards in opening radiologic equipment.

• Instructs patients regarding procedures. Maintains confidentiality of patient information.

• Examines radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification and distortion.

• Develops and processes radiologic film. Delivers film to requester for reading/interpretation.

• Maintains x-ray exam room. Stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies. Maintains established Practice policies and procedures, objectives and safety standards.

• Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiologic equipment. Responsible for routine maintenance and vendor notification of failures.

• Responsible for dissemination of x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log.

• Schedules radiologic exams to be performed at outside labs, as necessary.

• Gathers and prepares x-rays with physician interpretation for radiologist over read.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

• Education- Graduate of accredited Limited General Radiologic program or Radiology Program

• Experience- No experience required.

• Certified as a Limited Practice Radiographer-General in the state the team member is working.
