Deliver Top‑Tier Clinical Imaging and Create Images That Make a Difference

  • Perform high‑quality radiologic exams following established protocols and radiology practice standards.
  • Masterfully operate all X‑ray equipment and ensure every exam is crisp, accurate, and timely.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists
  • Review images and highlight key anatomical details or abnormalities.
  • Navigate PACS/RIS with confidence and efficiency.
  • Apply radiation safety practices like a pro - protecting patients, colleagues, and yourself.

Be a Patient‑Centered Problem Solver

  • Assist physicians with contrast media delivery safely and accurately.
  • Recognize urgent or life‑threatening situations and act swiftly as part of the care team.
  • Transport and transfer patients with care, confidence, and respect.
  • Support students and new team members - your expertise helps shape the next generation.

Keep Documentation Sharp & Accurate

  • Record procedures, supplies, and patient information with precision.
  • Ensure all images are properly labeled and documented according to department standards.
  • Charge appropriately and on time - because details matter.

  • Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment daily to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Report issues promptly to keep patients and staff safe and satisfied.

  • Assign daily tasks to technologists to keep workflow smooth and efficient.
  • Support onboarding for new employees.
  • Ensure all on‑the‑job injuries are documented same‑day.

Must Haves

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: 2 years of Xray experience.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Required: Basic Life Support HeartSaver & First Aid through the American Heart Association
  • Required: Licensed Radiology Technician through the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners.
  • Required: Radiography Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of general and anatomy and physiology, Radiation properties of x-ray and fluoroscopy equipment, etc.
  • General medical terminology knowledge and ability to administer Basic Life Support.
  • Knowledge of state laws regarding licensure.
  • Ability to properly place monitoring devices on patients, position patients on table and use manual dexterity to properly position camera head.
  • Ability to utilize basic computer and data entry skills.

  • Does this position formally supervise employees? No

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

  • Medium: Medium physical requirements- Medium Work- Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
