About the Job:
REQUIREMENTS:
- This is an IN-PERSON POSITION. Candidates who are remote should not apply.
- Bachelor's Degree is REQUIRED.
- Weekday AND Weekend availability IS A MUST!
READING AND WRITING TUTORS:
- Huntington Learning Center is hiring in-person, part-time tutors who have expertise and experience tutoring reading comprehension, writing skills, as well as potential other Humanities and Social Sciences topics. We are also looking for SAT and ACT-level reading and grammar tutors.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- 4-YEAR DEGREE IS REQUIRED: A bachelor's degree is the minimum degree-level requirement. Candidates without a degree should not apply.
- This is an IN-PERSON position: A candidate must be able to work in person. Candidates in remote locations should not apply.
- Certification/License a plus, but not required.
- Experience levels can vary - current and retired teachers are encouraged. Professionals with expertise in other subject areas are welcome to apply.
- Must be a caring and qualified professional committed to the success of students.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
- Bring your skills and expertise to help students develop.
- Flexible, part-time hours - afternoon, evening, weekend, and summer. We are open every day.
- Work with students in a 1-to-1 setting, with the potential to work with 1-3 students as needed.
- There are no lesson plans to write or curriculum to develop.
- No parent-teacher conferences.
- Actual hourly rate will based on experience, capabilities, and availability.
