JOB SUMMARY

This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round.

As a Ready Mix Driver, you will operate a ready-mix truck to load, transport and unload ready mixed concrete at various locations while practicing proper traffic, site and delivery safety procedures.    Will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members and provide excellent customer service and be knowledgeable about material properties.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

  1. Perform daily truck inspections and report needed repairs.
  2. Daily maintenance of equipment.
  3. Drives truck equipped with auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites:
  4. Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
  5. Clean and maintain truck.
  6. Ensure proper loading and adjusting of ready mix to proper slump.
  7. Make contact with customer on job site for unloading instructions and secure signature on load invoice.
  8. Ensure proper use of truck tracking software.
  9. Be able to work without direct supervision.
  10. Report information accurately and completely on daily time cards and other needed paperwork.
  11. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  12. Maintain proper information in truck cab and perform daily housekeeping in truck cab.
  13. Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

As a successful Ready Mix Driver, you will have:

  1. A CDL Class B license or higher with two years truck driving experience.
  2. Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure, medical card, and acceptable driving record.
  3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.
