Prospect pursues multiple strategies in the US, including direct lending, private equity, real estate private equity, and structured credit. Prospect has a long-term, value-oriented approach that employs fundamental bottoms-up research to identify investments that offer attractive risk and reward.

Prospect's real estate private equity business is housed within National Property REIT Corp. ("NPRC"), a private, wholly owned REIT that has invested over $3 billion in multifamily, student housing, and self-storage properties. NPRC currently owns 47 multifamily properties and 3 student housing properties. Prospect's real estate credit strategy was launched in 2025 with a focus on preferred equity multifamily investments.

The Position

Prospect is seeking two highly motivated Real Estate Investment Analysts to support the expansion of NPRC (equity) and PCRED (credit) originations. This role is designed for candidates with 1-2 years of real estate investment, investment banking, or commercial real estate experience who are eager to develop as investors and take on meaningful underwriting and analytical responsibility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build detailed financial models and underwrite real estate equity and credit investments across various asset classes, with an emphasis on multifamily
  • Assist with transaction diligence and execution, including review of third-party reports, financing terms, and operating assumptions
  • Prepare detailed investment memoranda and presentation materials for Investment Committee approval
  • Support evaluation of joint venture partners and transaction structuring
  • Assist with portfolio management assignments, including refinancings, dispositions, and ongoing asset monitoring
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support new originations initiatives
  • Other ad hoc assignments, including capital raising and research assignments

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience focused on equity or credit investments in the US real estate market, with a demonstrated focus on multifamily
  • Familiarity with and ability to produce Excel-based projection models
  • Bachelor's degree required (Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field preferred)
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence in academic, professional, and personal endeavors
  • Experience with: multifamily transactions involving multi-tiered joint venture waterfalls or similar structures, deal diligence and vetting of potential operating partners, evaluating first mortgage financing alternatives from GSE, CMBS, and other sources
  • Knowledgeable about market trends in US real estate asset classes, especially multifamily real estate and GSE financing programs relating thereto
  • Strong verbal and written skills - incoming investment professionals are expected to interact every day with JV partners and senior management
  • Proactive team player with excellent multitasking skills and a positive attitude

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 plus an annual discretionary performance-based bonus. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and performance.

You'll also have access to pretax benefit accounts, including FSA, HSA, and Commuter accounts.
