Job Description
We are looking for a Real Estate Paralegal for our client in Fort Lauderdale. The ideal candidate should have exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and review closing documents for commercial and residential purchase and sale transactions.
- Assist with drafting and reviewing loan documents.
- Coordinate closings by maintaining checklists, preparing/distributing signature packages, reviewing settlement statements, and liaising with transaction parties.
- Order and review title and survey documents, prepare objection letters, draft memoranda and escrow closing letters.
- Collect and review due diligence items such as zoning/governmental compliance letters, UCC/judgment searches, entity authority documents, good standing certificates, and estoppel letters.
- Abstract and analyze UCC/judgment/lien search results.
- Obtain and review zoning reports and conduct zoning analyses.
- Review leases and prepare lease abstracts.
- Manage filing and recording of documents.
- Prepare closing binders and handle post-closing matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong title and survey skills with advanced technical proficiency.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and ability to ensure forms include all necessary parties.
- Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior communication and client service skills, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and diplomacy.
- Creative thinker with the ability to implement best practices.
