Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Real Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic team in our Lancaster, PA office. As a Real Estate Paralegal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our legal team on commercial real estate transactions on behalf of banks and other financial institutions, corporations, and individual clients. Primary Responsibilities – Commercial Title Paralegal Assistance
- Draft and review real estate transaction documents, deeds, closing checklists, resolutions, organizational documents, and closing binders.
- Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, lenders, clients, and opposing counsel throughout the transaction process.
- Manage closing logistics, track deliverables, coordinate signatures, and organize electronic closing rooms.
- Maintain case files, document management systems, and transaction databases.
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of real estate transactions including post-closing tasks, filings with government agencies and preparation of final binders, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
- Prepare, review, and organize a variety of legal documents such as deeds, and closing statements.
- Reviewing public records and preparing title commitments and policies.
- Maintain and organize files, ensuring accurate and timely filing of documents with appropriate authorities.
- Filing of recordable documents in various State and County recording offices.
Additional Responsibilities
- In addition to title work, and loan documents, preparation and filing of financing statements, amendments, and terminations.
- Secure judgment, lien, and pending litigation searches.
- Download, organize, and inventory due diligence documentation from client-provided data sites.
- Manage preparation, assembly, and compilation of documents in advance of closing and coordinating signature pages gathering directly with client, opposing counsel and other third parties.
- Coordinate with opposing counsel, title companies, local counsel, and client representatives in all aspects of transactions.
- Preparation of closing binders related to transactions.

- Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a paralegal specifically focused on commercial real estate (law firm, title company, or in-house experience).
- Education: Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with real estate management software is a plus.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Solid understanding of title insurance, survey requirements, and the mechanics of a commercial closing.
- Attributes: Exceptional proofreading skills and attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple "moving parts" simultaneously, and a proactive communication style.
