We are actively seeking a talented Real Estate (RE) Servicing Analyst to join the Investments team in our Newport Beach, CA office.

The RE Servicing Analyst will facilitate loan set-up and system adjustments in our mortgage loan servicing system ("MLSS") and assist borrowers with all loan servicing needs for the commercial real estate loans serviced by Pacific Life. Additionally, this role supports the risk management team with ensuring adequate property and casualty insurance coverages exist, premium payments are processed and all insurance requirements are met and properly documented.

As a RE Servicing Analyst, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by facilitating loan set-up and system adjustments in our mortgage loan servicing system ("MLSS") and assisting borrowers with all loan servicing needs for the commercial real estate loans serviced by Pacific Life. Additionally, this role supports the risk management team with ensuring adequate property and casualty insurance coverages exist, premium payments are processed and all insurance requirements are met and properly documented. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of approximately 20 people in the Investment division. Your colleagues will include fellow real estate commercial loan servicing and insurance administration professionals.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Interpret loan documents and load new loans and transaction updates to the MLSS per established procedures and stated deadlines.
  • Provide technical, research, and application support for MLSS-related projects.
  • Provide support for various reporting, audit and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate the monthly mortgage loan billing process, ensuring accurate bills are delivered to borrowers within the specified timeframe.
  • Compare actual insurance coverages to coverages required in loan documents to determine deficiencies and follow up/resolve issues with appropriate parties in order to mitigate any risk exposure to Pacific Life.
  • Review and process invoices related to insurance renewals. Administer insurance premium payments and casualty claims.
  • Perform escrow audits for insurance impound accounts.

The experience you bring:

  • Undergraduate (four year) degree with a concentration in business preferred.
  • Two to three years working experience in commercial mortgage banking, commercial loan servicing, and/or property insurance administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word, and the ability to quickly learn new program applications
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong customer service, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong logical and analytical skills (ability to research, identify issues and problem solve)
  • Self-starter who can work independently and demonstrate initiative

  • Display the ability to be detail oriented and to work well under deadline pressures.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication skills including but not limited to strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in software applications for real estate investment analysis including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn new program applications.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
