Receiving Inspector

Job Description:

Inspect and repair incoming parts and materials to meet required visual, dimensional, and test requirements of engineering drawings and specifications.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare material for inspection. This includes using power tools, such as saws and drills, to remove shipping packaging.
• Examine items for defects in materials, workmanship, and damage.
• Test and repair materials to meet specifications.
• Help inspect purchased parts, assemblies, and materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
• Re-package material for storage and transport after inspection.
• This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the Lead, Supervisor and/or Manager.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience/exposure a plus.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Strong organization skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good computer skills.
• Professional communication skills, both verbally and in written.
• Strong mathematical, analytical and overall computer skills.
• Able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Able to work well with very little directive, carry out assignments and prioritize issues.

• Highly motivated.
