Receiving/Inventory Clerk

Job PurposeReceive all Natural Ovens purchase orders, and maintain inventory of ingredients.     Essential Job Results

1. Unload semi-trailers of ingredients in a timely manner and inspect and validate materials received.  Verify all packaging documents to what was received and route packing slips and invoices to Purchasing Coordinator in a timely manner.  Enters all receipts of goods information into the computer system.
2. Arrange special pickups when necessary.
3. Takes physical inventory and monitors physical inventory on a daily basis.   Assists with physical count for inventory on (Fridays) on a regular basis.
4. Assures ingredient lots are properly recorded into the inventory system in a timely manner and keeps up the lot tracking board.
5. Ensures packaging items are put away in a timely manner.
6. Ensures the ingredient room is neat and clean.
7. Communicates ingredient quality issues to Purchasing Coordinator.
8. Rotate ingredient stock on a monthly basis.
9. Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
10. Complies with company policies and procedures.
11. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
12. Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Knowledge and understanding of bakery ingredients
• Ability to read and write and interpret policies and procedures
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate receiving of supplies
• Ability to use personal computers, calculators, and copiers
• Ability to use math skills for ingredient calculations
• Ability to stand and walk during shift
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and forklift
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to pay attention to details on paperwork
• Ability to perform squatting, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, kneeling, or stooping
• Ability to work well with people to ensure good communication between departments and customers
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
