Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Lead Operator / Receiving Clerk to support daily manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role combines hands-on production leadership with inventory and receiving responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency across the floor.
You'll play a key role in training team members, maintaining equipment, and managing incoming materials.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Production
- Lead, train, and support production associates
- Assist with machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting
- Fill in on production lines as needed
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and workflow
Receiving & Inventory
- Verify incoming shipments against packing lists and bills of lading
- Label, scan, and enter materials into IQMS
- Maintain accurate inventory and records
- Communicate discrepancies with planners
Quality & Safety
- Inspect parts and materials for quality standards
- Report issues to leadership promptly
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
Administrative
- Complete production and inventory documentation
- Track scrap, rework, and daily production data
- Maintain organized records and reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of manufacturing and/or warehouse experience
- Leadership or team lead experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (IQMS a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions
