Join our client in Bangor, ME as a Reconciliation Accountant and make an impact every day. As part of their accounting team, youll ensure accuracy and integrity in financial data, supporting our organizations success. Youll work closely with the finance department to deliver precise account reconciliations and help maintain clean, well-documented records.What Youll Do:
- Prepare timely and accurate account reconciliations for balance sheet and operational accounts.*
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies to ensure financial reports are reliable.*
- Maintain detailed documentation for all reconciliations to support audit and internal reviews.*
- Collaborate with team members to improve reconciliation processes and streamline workflows.*
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to account analysis and reporting.
- Education: Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 25 years of accounting experience, specifically including hands-on reconciliation work.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP or accounting systems is preferred.
- Personal Characteristics: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
