Overview
Job Description
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class A or B (preferred; willing to train the right candidate)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work safely and effectively under time constraints
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physically capable of lifting 75 lbs and performing repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills helpful
- Operate ready-mix truck in compliance with DOT and company safety standards
- Inspect truck daily (fluids, tires, brakes, lights, etc.) and perform required pre- and post-trip inspections
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding schedules and job status
- Position truck safely at job sites in coordination with contractor or homeowner
- Deliver product accurately and professionally
- Complete all required delivery tickets and paperwork before leaving job site
- Clean out truck at designated locations in an environmentally responsible manner
- Wash down truck and maintain drum cleanliness daily
- Report mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of equipment
- Assist with plant housekeeping duties during inclement weather or downtime
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Strong work ethic and reliability
