This is an opportunity to join a growing and well-respected practice! Las Vegas Urology is currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented Referrals Coordinator to join our team. Our staff works together in supporting several clinics across the city, and has been doing so, in the Las Vegas Valley, for decades.

Position Overview:
The Referrals Coordinator is responsible for managing high volumes of incoming calls, scheduling patient appointments, and ensuring accurate referral processing. This role is critical in maintaining efficient clinic operations and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Essential Expectations:
- Answer high-volume incoming calls and schedule patient appointments with accuracy and professionalism
- Process online scheduling requests
- Confirm and update patient information, including contact details, insurance, and medical history
- Enter new patient demographics into the system
- Ensure accurate documentation of all appointments, cancellations, and reschedules in the scheduling system
- Manage and process referrals to ensure completeness and timely turnaround
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations
- Respond to voicemail and referral overflow as needed
- Assist with tasks assigned via Urocharts
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Treat patients and co-workers with courtesy, professionalism, and respect
- Collaborate with team members and assist other staff as needed
- Maintain reliable attendance and arrive to work on time
- Willingness to work overtime when requested
- Conduct oneself in accordance with Las Vegas Urology's employee manual
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 year scheduling experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a clear and pleasant phone voice
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Understanding of how scheduling impacts other departments within the practice
Physical Demands:
Working in an office environment and requires sitting for a long period of time. Some bending, lifting and stretching required. Working under stress and use of telephone required. Manual dexterity required for use of calculator and computer keyboard. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Position requires the ability to work in stressful situations. Involves contact with patients.
