Join our dynamic team as a Regional Account Manager, where you'll oversee and coordinate all sales and marketing activities for key clients across the mining industry. What You Will Do:

Strategic Customer & Dealer Engagement- Manage corporate relationships and oversee the business portfolio for large regional mining customers across North America and Latin America. Strengthen long‑term partnerships by aligning customer goals with Caterpillar's strategic vision. Lead and participate in Regional Key Account deals, collaborating with dealers, Commercial Managers, and local Caterpillar teams to develop creative, competitive solutions.

Sales, Marketing & Business Growth- Drive collaboration with regional teams including Strategic Accounts, Aftermarket, Technology, CAT Financial, and other key functions to deliver holistic, enterprise‑wide solutions. Demonstrate how Caterpillar partnerships drive sustainable market share growth and profitability. Balance long‑term strategic value with short‑term business results to support customer and enterprise objectives.

Customer Experience & Operational Excellence- Design efficient communication processes to keep customers informed on rates, shipping dates, delays, and other critical updates. Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures while maintaining clear, direct communication across internal teams. Analyze business markets, buying behavior, and competitive dynamics to inform account strategies.

Solution Development & Value Delivery- Use and create Caterpillar solutions that enhance competitiveness and customer value. Provide insights, market intelligence, and recommendations that influence customer decision‑making and long‑term planning. Support customers in achieving their operational and commercial goals through data‑driven guidance and strategic account planning.

What Skills You Will Have:

Industry Knowledge Extensive experience in the mining industry, with strong understanding of trends, regulatory considerations, and regional dynamics in North America and Latin America.

Customer Focus Market‑oriented, customer‑centric mindset with strong strategic planning skills. Experience working with multiple dealers and large mining customers. Ability to translate Voice of the Customer (VoC) into Caterpillar's internal Voice of the Business (VoB), converting customer needs and site realities into clear, actionable commercial and execution priorities.

Effective Communication Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence, persuade, and resolve complex issues across internal teams, dealers, and customers.

Account Management Proven ability to manage day‑to‑day account activities, deliver exceptional service, and drive continuous improvement. Strong decision‑making skills with a proactive, result-driven approach. Frontline‑Led Managed Account Ownership

Relationship Management Skilled at building strong relationships with internal and external partners. Resilient, adaptable, and able to respond effectively to customer and dealer feedback. Ability to influence customer behavior by anchoring decisions to measurable value, clear accountability mechanisms, and incentives that drive action and long‑term commitment

Negotiating Strong negotiation skills with the ability to sell to customer needs and develop mutually beneficial agreements. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Decision Making & Critical Thinking Ability to accurately analyze situations, evaluate options, and make informed decisions.

Value Selling Deep understanding of selling products, technology, and services based on value. Ability to differentiate Caterpillar offerings by aligning them to clearly understood customer needs. Strategic view with capability to create/develop mechanisms to drive customer action and influence its behavior

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese

  • Bachelor's degree or MBA

  • Strong commercial background with understanding of machine applications

  • Knowledge of Caterpillar policies, dealer operations, and distribution practices

  • Experience leveraging digital technologies for business decisions or service development

  • Experience with procurement negotiations and purchasing processes

Additional Information:

  • Primary work location: Tucson, AZ with a requirement to work on-site full-time at a Caterpillar facility.

  • Domestic relocation assistance available

  • Up to 70% of travel may be required

  • Visa sponsorship, international assignments, and payroll transfers are not available

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
