  • Act as a strategic advisor to operational leaders, translating quality insights into actionable improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain strong presence in the field-conducting project visits, job walks, inspections, and readiness assessments to proactively surface and resolve quality risks.

Quality Systems, Standards & Compliance

  • Implement and uphold Loenbro's QMS, policies, procedures, and discipline-specific standards across all regional work.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and customer specifications (e.g., ASME, AWS, API, NEC, NDE/NDT standards).
  • Oversee quality documentation, submittals, inspection plans, test packages, and turnover packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Inspection, Testing & Technical Oversight

  • Provide hands-on leadership for regional inspection and quality teams, ensuring proper execution of welding inspections, mechanical/electrical inspections, testing, and NDE/NDT activities.
  • Support project managers with quality-critical planning, pre-job readiness reviews, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action processes for nonconformances, quality incidents, and customer complaints.

Performance Reporting, Metrics & Operational Insight

  • Monitor and report regional quality KPIs, trends, and emerging risks to the VP of Quality and regional operations leadership.
  • Review project performance indicators including rework rates, inspection findings, test outcomes, and documentation accuracy.
  • Partner with Technology and Operations to enhance dashboards and reporting tools that improve visibility and decision-making.

Training, Capability Building & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and deliver regional training programs covering quality standards, documentation expectations, inspection readiness, and discipline-specific requirements.
  • Coach project teams on best practices for weld quality, installation quality, testing protocols, and documentation accuracy.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, driving standardization and reducing rework, variation, and quality issues across the region.

Customer & External Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a regional point of contact for customer quality leaders, third-party inspectors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Support pre-construction meetings, customer audits, and project kickoffs to ensure clarity of quality expectations.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong technical foundation in industrial quality disciplines (e.g., welding, mechanical, electrical, NDE/NDT, instrumentation).
  • Experience supporting multi-site, project-based operations with diverse scopes and customer requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence operational leaders and connect quality outcomes to field execution.
  • Demonstrated success driving compliance, standardization, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to operate with urgency and judgment.
