Regional Driver (Class A CDL) Home Weekends, Compensation over $100k your FIRST YEAR

Position Summary:

Regional Drivers for Jacam Catalyst, LLC will drive a dedicated route, transporting hazardous materials to company locations regionally and across the United States. Safely and responsibly maintain all equipment required to perform job functions. No CDL, no problem. For the right candidate we will pay for your CDL and hazardous materials training (if you do not stay at Jacam Catalyst for 18 months you will be required to pay training costs back).

  • Hourly pay + overtime (average 65 hours per week, $27/hour)
  • Since we are both shipper and receiver, your time will not be wasted!
  • Drive assigned, late model trucks with APUs and refrigerators (no slip seating)
  • Van, tanker, and flatbed (no tarping!)
  • HOME WEEKENDS

Essential Functions:

  • Must adhere to the US Department of Transportation regulations regarding the safe operation of the company vehicle.
  • Transport and deliver freight over the road over long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
  • Hook and unhook trailers; secure freight; install and remove tire chains as required by weather.
  • Load and unload trailers and perform lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying freight.
  • Must ensure the vehicle is properly labeled with safety placards to ensure DOT compliance.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects/repairs to company personnel.
  • Represent the company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company vehicle and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ previous oilfield experience hauling hazardous chemicals - helpful but not required
  • Must possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Airbrake endorsements
  • Possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certification
  • Forklift certification required - helpful but not required
  • Required ability to read maps and follow driving directions

Skills & Abilities:

  • Computer Skills:Have basic computer skills. Efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type and use a mouse.
  • Customer Service Skills:Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
  • Work Ethic:Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
  • Physical Abilities:Lift and carry 100 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55 gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.

Work Environment:

Driving an enclosed truck on a daily basis. Working outdoors while loading and unloading goods. Employee could be faced with working in temperature extremes. Drivers are often exposed to contaminants, such as diesel fuel, exhaust, or hazardous chemicals. Employee must be able to lift and carry 100 pounds, manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude helpful. Use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, gloves, and H2S Monitor as required or needed.
