Job Description

Position: Regional Health Access Program Manager

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Health Access Program Director

Salary Rate:

Level 1 (Entry level up to 2 years of direct experience): $49,129

Level II (3+ years of direct experience): $53,060

Bilingual premium for qualifying languages is 3.5% higher than starting salary if pass bilingual exam on first week of hire.

Position Summary:

The Regional Health Access Program Manager is responsible for supervising Health Access Program Coordinators at all regional offices of CHN outside of the primary Denver office (Colorado Springs, Ft. Collins & Grand Junction) and may be tasked to supervise supportive staff that do not directly report to the Senior Health Access Program Manager or Health Access Program Director.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide direct supervision and acts as Hiring Manager to Regional Health Access Program Coordinators outside of Denver
  • Assist in all aspects of program development, implementation, reporting, and evaluation with guidance from the Health Access Program Director & Senior Health Access Program Manager
  • Work with CDPHE/SDAP staff and Health Access Program Management in the development and implementation of programmatic goals, policies, and operational procedures
  • Work with Director and CHN Quality Team to monitor quality of programs including ongoing quality improvement efforts, program evaluation, and programmatic outcome measures designed for the health access program
  • Recommend innovative and alternative methods to improve processes
  • Manage client feedback, complaints, grievances, and appeals
  • Provides back up to staff regarding client issues and provides client services during peak open enrollment season and maintains a reduced ongoing caseload as necessary (not to exceed 25% of a Health Access Program Coordinator on an ongoing basis).
  • Work with Management and Team Lead to conduct trainings during staff transitions (onboarding, position changes, quality improvement processes)
  • Works with Health Access Program Management and Team Lead to identify and meet additional team training needs, goals, and priorities.
  • Meet all deadlines agreed upon with the Health Access Programs Director
  • Serve on relevant internal and external workgroups and coalitions as requested
  • Recruit and maintains high quality staff; conducts performance reviews; ensure appropriate and adequate staffing and scheduling
  • Set expectations of teamwork within and across departments
  • Assist staff to improve their skills and identify professional development needs with Director
  • Work with supervisors at co-located clinics to onboard CHN coordinators at respective clinic locations and manage relations between CHN and those clinics
  • Must be able to work in a diverse setting with diverse populations, including persons living with HIV, the LGBTQ+ community, persons of various ethnic backgrounds, disenfranchised communities.
  • Participation in training related to HIV, substance use, harm reduction, trauma informed care and related issues. Cultural Competency/Sensitivity.
