Location: Kennett Square, PA Salary: $26.00 USD Hourly - $30.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Registered Behavior Tech (RBT) around the Kennett Square, PA area. Job Title: Registered Behavioral Technician Schedule: Elementary: 8:45 AM – 3:45 PM Secondary: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM Unpaid 30-minute lunch break Monday–Friday, shifts may be at any of the five school locations Contract guaranteed through the end of the school year Job Summary: The School Behavioral Technician plays a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Working closely with students, teachers, and staff, this position provides support and intervention strategies for students with behavioral challenges. The role is essential in fostering a safe, respectful atmosphere that supports student success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct behavioral assessments to identify student needs and challenges Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special education staff to develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Implement interventions and strategies outlined in BIPs consistently and effectively Collect and maintain accurate data on student behavior and progress Respond to and de-escalate crisis situations safely and appropriately Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and stakeholders about student progress and concerns Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support student success Promote inclusion and respect within the school community Qualifications: RBT Certification Experience working with students with behavioral challenges or special needs Knowledge of behavior management techniques and evidence-based interventions Strong communication and interpersonal skills Crisis intervention and de-escalation training (e.g., CPI, Safe Crisis Management) preferred Patience, empathy, and commitment to student well-being Required Clearances (must be current): PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 1 year) FBI Fingerprint Clearance for Pennsylvania (within 1 year) PA State Police Background Report (within 1 year) TB Test (within 3 months) CPR and First Aid Certification Act 126 Reporter Training Certificate Make a meaningful impact by joining this school district as an RBT, supporting students with special needs in a rewarding, full-time role through the end of the school year.
