Position Title
School Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Schedule
Elementary: 8:45 AM – 3:45 PM
Secondary: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM
Lunch: Unpaid 30‑minute break
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Contract: Guaranteed through the end of the school year
Job Summary
The Registered Behavioral Technician supports a positive, inclusive learning environment by assisting students with behavioral needs. This role works closely with students, teachers, and school staff to implement behavior strategies, monitor progress, and help maintain a safe and supportive school climate.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct behavioral assessments to identify student needs.
Collaborate with staff to develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Implement behavior strategies and interventions consistently.
Collect and track behavioral data to monitor progress.
Assist with crisis response and de‑escalation when needed.
Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and support teams.
Participate in ongoing professional development related to behavior support.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Promote an inclusive, respectful school environment.
Qualifications
RBT Certification
Experience supporting students with behavioral or special needs
Knowledge of evidence‑based behavior management strategies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Crisis intervention training (CPI, Safe Crisis Management, etc.) preferred
Patience, empathy, and commitment to student well‑being
Required Clearances
PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 1 year)
PA FBI Fingerprinting (within 1 year)
PA State Police Background Check (within 1 year)
TB Test (within 3 months)
CPR and First Aid
Mandated Reporter Training (Act 126)
