JOB SUMMARY
This position will assist the dentist and the dental hygienist in providing dental care to clinic patients.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare patients for dental procedures, including seating and draping.
- Assist the dentist during procedures, such as handling isntruments, rinsing, and suctioning.
- Take dental X-rays and teeth impressions for study casts.
- Perform coronal polishing.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment.
- Comply with dental infection control protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms.
- Mix dental materials.
- Provide post-procedure care and instructions.
- Update patient records.
- Monitor and maintain dental supply inventory.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
