Job Description
- Competitive Compensation: Earn $39 per hour
- Work Schedule: Full-time position with on-site travel requirements. Temp to perm.

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
- Licensure: Current credential as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN); must maintain state licensure.
- Experience:
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a medical facility, preferably a nursing home, is required.
- Two (2) years of experience performing nursing home surveillance activities, preferred.
- Certification: Ability to obtain Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) certification within 12 months of employment, required.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate positive customer satisfaction in situations that are adverse or in controversy.
- Ability to successfully work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to relate effectively to providers, physicians, senior medical and administrative personnel, and residents/patients.
- Superior investigative and analytical skills with a proficiency in conducting interviews with facility staff, residents, and families.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs.
- Other requirements:
- Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, as the state will determine the work schedule.
- Employees must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts, as needed.
- Weekend, holiday, and evening shift schedules will be assigned on a rotating basis.
- This is a travel position.
- Candidates will receive a premium pay rate for working on holidays and overtime.
- Conduct on-site surveys and complaint investigations at adult care and nursing home facilities.
- Evaluate nutritional care services for compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Interview facility staff, residents, and families as part of the investigative process.
- Analyze findings and prepare detailed reports, including Statements of Deficiencies.
- Assess the adequacy and implementation of corrective action plans (Plans of Correction).
- Provide expertise on dietary standards and nutritional care requirements.
