Job Details / Responsibilities:

Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop/implement personalized dietary plansCounsel and instruct patients per physician orders and diet education needs, including post-discharge dietsMonitor nutritional status and communicate with physicians and other disciplines involved in careEvaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methodsImplement nutritional care plans, adapt menus, and assist patients with special dietary needsConduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendationsReview, revise, and sign off menus for nutritional adequacyDocument pertinent information in the medical record to established standards

Qualifications:

Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (listed as American Dietetic Association on posting)State licensure requiredBachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & NutritionMembership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferredOne year of clinical dietetics experience preferred
