Job Description:

Full time 36/hrs

0730-1700 during the week

0700-1630 on weekends

Position Summary

Delivers care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. Creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Practices in a manner consistent with the ANA's Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; and relevant specialty standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgement in caring for patients. Integrates best current evidence with clinical expertise and patient/family preferences and values for delivery of optimal health care.

• Functions effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams to support new ideas and offer solutions. Fosters open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision making to achieve quality patient outcomes and promote a positive work environment.

• Supports organizational and departmental goals and strategic imperatives.

• Holds self and others accountable. Exemplifies a professional role model, coaches, and mentors others. Precepts new hires and students, promoting a culture of learning.

• Adheres to all enterprise wide and departmental policies and procedures.  Maintains compliance with timekeeping and attendance.

• Uses time and material resources effectively and contributes expense reduction.
