For more information about the airport, check out their website here!About the Facility – Pine Ridge HospitalThe 45-bed Pine Ridge Hospital, serving a Lakota Indian population of more than 17,000, is the largest in the Great Plains Area. A 16 physician staff sees medical, obstetrical, pediatric, and surgical patients. The facility located in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, includes full service general surgery, an obstetrical ward, and dental. Kyle and Wanblee Health Centers and two health stations (Manderson and Lacreek) operate within the Pine Ridge Service Unit.Facility Address: 607 Indian Health Road, Pine Ridge, South Dakota 57770Registered Nurse- RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
- The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for outpatient patients of all ages with diverse medical and nursing diagnoses.
- Perform dressing changes, assist with ambulation, and support activities of daily living.
- Administer prescribed medications and vaccines.
- The Registered Nurse performs respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, and fit assistive devices like splints or durable medical equipment.
- Perform urinary catheter placements, collect tissue and biological samples, venipuncture for blood samples, and assist in setting up minor procedures using aseptic techniques.
- Initiate treatments, administer medications, and perform emergency and resuscitative measures.
- The Registered Nurse consults with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic regimens for patients.
- Education: Must have completed an accredited nursing program at the associate or bachelor's level and passed the NCLEX-RN exam.
- Licensure: Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
- Certification: Valid American Heart Association certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with a focus on medical-surgical in-patient specialties and acute care units.
