Job Description
Summary:
- Duration: 14 Weeks
- Location: Children's Hospital Colorado @ Anschutz Medical Campus
- Shift: 12-Hour Shifts: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Responsibilities:
- Provide care to pediatric patients in the Medical-Surgical unit.
- Manage tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and chest tube management.
- Work every other weekend as part of the scheduling requirements.
- Float to units within the cohort as per company policy.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Pulmonary Pediatrics experience.
- BLS and PALS certifications required.
- RN licensure required.
- Strong pediatric pulmonary experience is required.
- Must be comfortable caring for high-acuity trach, vent, and chest tube patients.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous travel experience preferred.
- Teaching hospital experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with ventilator-dependent pediatric populations is highly preferred.
Additional Notes:
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment.
- Seasonal Influenza Vaccine required; medical and religious exemptions accepted.
- Travelers should be prepared to discuss pulmonary and ventilator management experience during the interview.
