Registered Nurse (RN)

Cardio Vascular Operating Room

Key Details:

3 - 12 hour shifts/week (0630-1900)
2 openings
$74–$79/hr, depending on experience

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room team at a leading medical center in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for an experienced perioperative nurse passionate about delivering high-quality care in complex cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain the operating room for cardiovascular surgical procedures
Assist surgeons during open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures
Ensure sterile technique and adherence to safety protocols
Operate specialized CVOR equipment and technology
Provide patient education and emotional support
Accurately document patient care and surgical activities
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for continuity of care

Requirements:

Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state license)
Minimum 1–2 years of CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience preferred
BLS required; ACLS preferred
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and equipment
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure surgical environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
