Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse- Medical-Surgical/TelemetryContract Duration: 2 MonthsLocation: Lafayette, LAWork Type: OnsiteKey Responsibilities:
- Registered Nurse- Medical-Surgical/Telemetry provides direct nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, following established protocols and best practices.
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry readings, reporting abnormalities to the physician promptly.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed.
- Perform ongoing assessments, document changes in condition, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare staff to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA compliance standards.
