• Position Type: Contract

• Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 3x12 Nights Most likely a straight Night Shift position. If clinician is needed to cover both nights and days, schedule flips every 4 weeks. Shift hours: 19:00 7:30.
• Travel Requirements: Local candidates not accepted candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Labor and Delivery RN travel contract position at an acute hospital facility in Anchorage, AK. The unit is a high-risk L&D unit featuring 10 OB Triage Rooms, 10 LDR Rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms. Average daily deliveries are around 7, but the unit often manages up to 14 patients with inductions and high-risk antepartum cases. OB Triage averages 4 5 third trimester testing patients as well as an influx of triage patients each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Labor and Delivery and OB Triage/Testing unit (census range 5 10 OB Triage/Testing; 7 14 LD/Antepartum)
• Manage high-risk labor and delivery patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• Perform OB triage and third trimester testing
• Float to like units within scope to meet facility needs if needed
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities or willingness to train as charge nurse as needed per unit direction

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
• Charge nurse experience preferred, or willingness to train as charge
• Availability for weekend shifts (every other weekend required)
• Ability to float within scope to like units to meet facility needs
• Charting proficiency; facility uses Epic

Education Requirements

• Active Alaska (AK) RN license required (must have license in hand for Auto Offer)
• License pending accepted must be able to complete AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing (including submitting fingerprints, application fee, and license application submittal)
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP

Important Notes

• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks traveler can be called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
• RTO Restrictions: Time off approved on an individual basis upon offer. All RTO must be included in submittal.
• Local candidates not accepted: Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
• First-time travelers accepted: Yes
• Pending license accepted: Yes, but candidate must have license in hand for Auto Offer
