- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 6 months (unit will accept 13-week length or longer)
- Pay Rate: $67.00 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: 4x10HR, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM, Monday Friday

Job Summary
This is a Registered Nurse position in the Interventional Radiology department at a tertiary care center. The unit supports a M F workload with pre and post coverage in the RPPU (Radiology Pre Post Unit) as needed, and operates three IR rooms targeting 16 cases per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care across three IR rooms with a target of 16 cases per day
- Provide pre and post coverage in the RPPU (Radiology Pre Post Unit) as needed
- Perform and support special procedures in Interventional Radiology, including stroke-related IR procedures
- Adhere to on-call requirements: must be at the hospital within 30 minutes; 1 week of backup then primary on Thursday, totaling 8 call days in a 10 12 week time tract/period
- Participate in call rotation that may include one holiday (primary or backup)
- Cover call from end of shift until 0700; backup call covers the call person from end of shift until 0700
- Cover 24-hour weekend call (Saturday and Sunday, 0700 0700) on a rotational basis; on call for emergencies and to wrap up the day
- If the call person gets sick, participate in the fill list as needed (not used often)
- Float Requirement: NONE
- Weekend Requirement: Weekends required based on call rotation
Required Skills
- Conscious Sedation
- Telemetry
- Understanding of IR procedures, including stroke
- Proficiency with unit systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
Preferred Skills
- PALS

Education Requirements
- ACLS certification required
- BCLS certification required
- NIH (Stroke Scale) certification required
- PALS preferred
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Unit will accept first-time travelers
- Local candidates accepted
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Tertiary care center
- Workload is Monday Friday; weekends required based on call rotation
- On-call requirement: must be available within 30 minutes of call; 8 call days in a 10 12 week period; possible holiday call (primary or backup)
- Call hours: end of shift until 0700 (weekdays); 24-hour call Saturday and Sunday (0700 0700)
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Scrubs provided (ceil blue)
- No special equipment required
- No float requirement
- Scheduling managed by unit manager
Important Notes
- RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire).
- Unit Orientation: 8 hours; Hospital Orientation week one traveler must be available for classes each day.
- Interview Availability: Please provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours when submitting. Manager will not extend an offer without speaking to the candidate first.
