Location: Corvallis, ORSalary: $55.00 USD Hourly - $57.00 USD HourlyDescription:

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Day Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care during the Pre‑Operative (PreOp) and Post‑Operative (PostOp) phases of care in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Day Surgery RN will be responsible for delivering safe, high‑quality nursing care throughout the surgical experience, including:
  • Providing direct patient care during PreOp and PostOp phases
  • Performing patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and readiness for surgery
  • Preparing patients for surgical procedures and ensuring appropriate documentation
  • Monitoring patients during PostOp recovery and identifying any complications
  • Administering medications as ordered and documenting responses
  • Educating patients and families on post‑procedure care and discharge instructions
  • Collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members
  • Supporting efficient patient flow to maintain steady OR operations
  • Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Experience in the following surgical specialties:
  • Orthopedics
  • General Surgery
  • Urology
  • Gastroenterology (GI)
  • Podiatry
  • Gynecology (GYN)

  • Ability to maintain efficiency and momentum in a busy operating room
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Adaptability in a fast‑paced surgical environment
