Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Full-Time Registered Nurse in our OR in Nashville, TN. This is an on-call position.
Nashville General Hospital seeks to hire an experienced OR Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator for our Operating Room Unit (OR) who will embrace our commitment to providing quality care to every patient and family member.
As an Operating Room Circulator RN, you will be responsible for:
- Demonstrate ability to perform and the ability to operate technical equipment.
- Assess patient's condition before surgery and provide care for patients in recovery.
- Position patient on operating table and assistingsurgeons during surgical procedures.
- Cleaning surgical equipment and operating rooms to maintain a sterile environment.
- Educating patients on best practices for recovery including pain management and keeping wounds clean.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Assessing patient condition and noting it accurately according to the facility’s charting practices
- Understanding applicable state regulations and following compliance practices
- Graduate of an accredited associate degree, Diploma, or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred.
- Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state. BLS required. ACLS preferred.
- One year of clinical nursing and Operating Room (OR) required.
- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) and Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) preferred.
