Travel Operating Room RN – Polson, MT | Up to $2,817/Week | Days
Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a reputable healthcare facility in Polson, Montana.
Position Overview:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in a critical access hospital setting.
This position requires a versatile and experienced surgical services RN who can support multiple departments, including the Operating Room, Preoperative Care, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Endoscopy.
The ideal candidate has experience circulating surgical procedures, assisting with preoperative preparation, monitoring patients during recovery, and providing postoperative care through discharge when needed.
Candidates must have experience in a critical access hospital and must be able to circulate C-sections. This is a mandatory requirement.
Assignment Details:
- Location: Polson, MT
- Weekly Pay: Up to $2,817
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Days, 5×8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–3:00 PM)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Alternative Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts may be considered
- On-Call: Approximately 8 call shifts per month, including nights and weekends
- Weekend Rotation: Approximately every third or fourth weekend, depending on scheduling
- Floating: Required within Surgical Services and potentially other departments within scope
- Setting: Critical Access Hospital – Operating Room / Surgical Services
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience.
- Previous critical access hospital experience required.
- C-section circulating experience required — hard stop.
- Active Montana RN license or eligible compact RN license in hand at submission.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
- Epic charting experience required.
- Experience in multiple surgical services areas, including OR, PACU, Pre-op, and Endoscopy.
- Experience circulating general, orthopedic, gynecological, ENT, and dental procedures.
- Knowledge of surgical asepsis, infection prevention, patient safety, and perioperative nursing practices.
- Ability to respond to surgical emerg.encies and participate in on-call coverage.
- Flexibility to support patients throughout the perioperative process.
- First-time travel nurses may be considered if they meet all required clinical qualifications.
- Surgical Specialties.
- General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures.
- Orthopedics: Arthroscopy, fracture reduction, total joint replacement.
- Obstetrics/Gynecology: C-sections, hysterectomy, D&C, tubal ligation.
- ENT: Tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, ear procedures.
- Endoscopy: Colonoscopy and EGD.
- Dental: Adult and selected pediatric procedures.
