Registered Nurse (Rn) - Med Surg

Position: Registered Nurse

Location: Hermiston, OR 97838

Duration: ASAP - 07/12/26 (possible extension)

Pay: $57 - 60/hr.

Setting: Medical-Surgical

Schedule: Day shift, 36 hours weekly | 3 shifts per week

Overview: Seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN).  In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures, collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients in accordance with hospital standards and nursing best practices

• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to changes in clinical status

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician

• Develop and initiate individualized computerized Plans of Care upon admission

• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes

• Deliver culturally competent care that supports each patient's physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record

• Support patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards

• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong communication with patients, families, and care team members

• Assist in other departments when needed and qualified to ensure continuity of patient care

Required Qualifications

• At least 1-year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience is preferred

• Active RN License in Oregon

• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or be willing to obtain it post-offer

• Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

• Must have a clean background

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)
