Skilled Nursing Registered Nurse (RN)
Role Summary
Step into a meaningful leadership role within a dedicated long-term care community. As a Skilled Nursing RN, you will provide compassionate, high-standard geriatric care, balancing clinical expertise with a "person-first" approach. You will co-lead a resident population of 44 Skilled Nursing (SNF) and 12 Basic Care (BC) residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being through meticulous care planning and advocacy. Key Duties:
Clinical Leadership: Oversee floor staff and manage the daily clinical operations for an assigned resident population.
Comprehensive Care Management: Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans, making critical adjustments as resident needs evolve.
Treatment & Medication: Administer medications and treatments accurately while safeguarding resident property and privacy.
Physician Liaison: Process physician orders efficiently and ensure timely notification of changes in resident status.
Safety & Mobility: Utilize transfer equipment (gait belts, mechanical lifts, etc.) with expert handling techniques to ensure residents feel safe and secure.
Documentation: Use the EMR system accurately to track resident conditions and report updates to the interdisciplinary team.
Resident Advocacy: Provide residents with opportunities for independence and choice, maintaining their self-esteem and dignity.
Education: Lead education efforts for residents and their families regarding health status and care goals.
Required Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of North Dakota.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 35 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, and moving in response to job tasks.
Desired Skills
Leadership: Strong ability to provide oversight for floor staff and manage unit flow.
Organization: Expert multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced geriatric setting.
Compassion: A genuine passion for geriatric care and a caring, empathetic approach to nursing.
Clinical Judgment: Familiarity with the therapeutic effects and potential side effects of medications common in long-term care.

Schedule: Full-Time & Part Time | Day & Night Shift | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | 6:00pm - 6:30am
