Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care
Role Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. Using the nursing process, the RN provides individualized, patient-centered care while collaborating closely with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues. This role offers the opportunity to practice across the full scope of professional nursing, support resident well-being at every stage of care, and contribute to a supportive, team-oriented clinical environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized resident care
Collaborate with residents, families, providers, and care team members to plan, implement, and evaluate care
Deliver nursing care across preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment phases
Coordinate resident care, conduct assessments, provide education, and implement appropriate nursing interventions
Practice within the full scope of nursing knowledge, utilizing age- and population-specific standards of care
Serve as Charge Nurse as assigned, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on competency and resident needs
Provide guidance, supervision, and support to delegated staff to ensure safe, effective care delivery
Ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, administrative rules, and professional standards of nursing practice
Uphold the Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses
Required Qualifications
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Multistate licensure accepted for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) states
Ability to obtain and maintain all required department-specific competencies and certifications
Desired Qualifications
Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
