Registered Nurse - PCU

• Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience, with a strong foundation in cardiac and medical stepdown care
• Current and valid RN license
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in titrating cardiac, insulin, and vasopressor drips (Esmolol, Cardene, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Labetalol, Levophed, Nipride, Nitro)
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to placement
• Excellent critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a high-acuity setting

Nice to Have Skills:

• LVAD certification
• Experience managing venous sheaths, TR Bands, temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, tracheostomies, central lines, and wound care
• Previous experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Knowledge of IV drug management and complex patient monitoring

Preferred Education and Experience:

• RN degree from an accredited program
• At least 2 years of professional nursing experience in acute care settings, specifically in PCU, cardiac, or stepdown units

Other Requirements:

• Must have current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Willingness to work every other weekend, with a schedule of 4 days one week and 3 days the next
• Ability to work major holidays (2 out of 3)
• No on-call requirement
• Scrub attire: Pewter scrubs, gray/white/black T-shirts with WK monogram, gray/black jackets
• Admission of full view badge worn above the waist at all times
• Free parking in designated areas
• Flexibility regarding up to 7 days of time off with contract extension; more than 7 days declined
