Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and make a profound impact on patient recovery and well-being. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, acute-care settings and are committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care. With rigorous support, state-of-the-art equipment, and a focus on safety and professionalism, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to advance your nursing career.Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience, with prior experience in PCU or related units
- Proficiency in managing CVA, TIA patients, and tube feedings (NGT/PEG), CVL placement, and arterial lines
- Strong skills in diabetes management and drip titration (Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin)
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Experience with EMR systems, preferably Meditech Expanse
- Knowledge of IV pumps (Alaris), medication dispensing (Pyxis)
- Experience with Drip titration of various vasoactive agents
- Previous exposure to PICC/midline placement support (VAT team)
- Skills in phlebotomy and advanced vascular management
- Flexibility to float between Stepdown and MedSurg units as needed
- Current RN license in good standing
- At least 2 years of recent acute-care nursing experience in a similar fast-paced environment
- COVID-19 PPE compliance with provided gear
- Flexible scheduling including every other weekend, 4-day/3-day rotations, or 5-day rotations
- Ability to work scheduled holidays and up to 7 days of requested time off with manager approval
- No call responsibilities; will work 2 major holidays per year
- Professional appearance with proper scrubs and badges; adherence to hospital dress code and conduct policies
- Parking available free in designated areas
- No cell phone use, earbuds, or eating at patient care stations during shifts
