What Youll Do

Provide direct patient care to a diverse adult population with conditions like respiratory failure, post-surgical recovery, sepsis, CVA, and more.
Administer titrated medications, including cardiac drips, vasopressors, and insulin.
Manage venous sheaths, central lines, tracheostomies, feeding tubes, and chest tubes.
Monitor patients and intervene promptly as necessary, ensuring safety and compliance.
Collaborate with charge nurses, RTs, and on-call hospitalists.
Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR.
Float to other units as needed, such as Cardiac Stepdown or Medical-Surgical.

What You NeedRequired:

Active RN license in Louisiana
BLS and ACLS certifications
1-2 years of recent ICU, PCU, or MedSurg experience
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Skills in titrating cardiac and vasopressor infusions, managing IV access, and patient monitoring

Preferred:

NIHSS certification
Experience with ventilators, wound care, blood products
