Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients managing conditions such as sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and PNA, along with post-operative overflow cases including total joints and GI/abdominal surgeries.Required Skills:

• Valid RN license and current CPR (BLS) certification
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to PASS an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, perm staff RN experience in acute care
• Strong wound management skills, including JP drains, wound vacs, and catheter care
• Experience with pain management, PCA, and hemodialysis catheter care

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Ability to float across various medical-surgical units
• Experience with PICC placement and phlebotomy procedures
• Multilingual skills or additional certifications related to acute care nursing

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• At least 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• First-time travelers with 2 years of permanent staff experience in acute care are welcome

Other Requirements:

• Must be separated from previous travel or perm roles for at least 1 year if previously employed at the same facility
• Willingness to work 4 days one week and 3 days the next, with alternating weekends
• Must be flexible to work holidays, approximately 2 out of 3
• Availability for up to 7 days of paid time off, with a one-week extension per full week requested
• Scrub color: Pewter; attire includes gray, white, or black T-shirts with WK monogram, and gray or black jackets
• Uniforms and badges must be worn properly at all times
• Free parking provided
• No on-call required; scheduled to work shifts with weekend rotations
