Be part of a compassionate team committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients with complex health conditions, including DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, neuro post-op cases, and more. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and utilize your advanced clinical skills to ensure the best outcomes for our young patients.Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU nursing experience; cross-training and float capabilities to Adult ICU and Med/Tele are highly preferred
• Proficiency in PIV insertion, CVL placement, telemetry monitoring, wound care, drains, and wound vacs
• Ability to titrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, sedation agents, and pain drip management
• Successfully pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications; NRP preferred
• Strong assessment skills and ability to respond swiftly to critical changes
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in adult ICU or step-down units
• Ability to float between adult and pediatric units
• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Knowledge of using IV pumps like Alaris and medication management via Pyxis

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred
• Lockstep experience in pediatric critical care environments
• Past experience working in fast-paced hospital settings

Other Requirements:

• Certification in applicable areas
• Ability to work 4 days one week and 3 days the next, with weekend rotations every other week
• Willingness to work 2-3 holidays per year
• Must wear appropriate scrubs (pewter color) and maintain visible badges
• No travel restrictions; flexibility to work flexible shifts
• Be comfortable working in a family-oriented, unit-specific culture with a traveler-friendly environment
