What You'll Do

Provide specialized OR nursing care for surgical procedures including robotics, neuro-spine, transplant, bariatric, urology, and general surgeries
Circulate during procedures; scrub experience preferred but not required
Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia, surgical techs, and physicians
Maintain sterile environments and ensure compliance with safety standards
Participate in holiday and weekend call coverage
Ensure accurate documentation and patient safety standards

What You Need

Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
Minimum 2 years OR experience with neuro, transplant, or robotics preferred
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; CSFA/CSA optional
Strong clinical skills in OR settings, excellent teamwork, and adaptability
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to arrival

About the AssignmentThis position is based in a busy, 13-bed OR suite handling a variety of complex cases such as robotic surgeries, neurovascular procedures, transplants, and bariatrics. The unit supports a collaborative, team-oriented environment with experienced staff and modern equipment like Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris IV pumps.
