• Experience: Minimum 1 year inpatient dialysis experience; first-time travelers need 2 years of perm staff RN experience in acute care

What You’ll Do

• Provide inpatient dialysis care using Braun machines for Hemodialysis or Peritoneal Dialysis patients
• Access fistulas and dialysis catheters, demonstrating critical thinking and technical skills
• Monitor patient status and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care
• Travel between multiple facilities, including WKMC, Bossier, Pierremont, and South campus, as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, including proper badge wear and scrubs
• Support unit functions as assigned, including covering charge nurse responsibilities when required

What You Need

• RN license valid in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; CDN or CNN preferred
• Minimum 1 year inpatient dialysis experience; first-time travelers must have 2 years in acute care
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Critical thinking skills, ability to work independently, and travel between facilities
• Tech candidates must be CCHT certified, BLS certified, with experience accessing fistulas and grafts
