• Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries.
• Assist in preoperative preparation, intraoperative support, and postoperative recovery.
• Collaborate closely with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and facility policies.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in a Cardiac Operating Room setting.
• Valid active Georgia (GA) license or Compact state license.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and surgical support.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Pediatric experience in critical care or surgical environments.
• Additional certifications related to cardiac or perioperative nursing.
• Prior exposure to working in a quick-paced surgical setting.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in cardiac surgery or a related specialty.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work four 10-hour shifts per week, primarily from 0645 to 1700, with call responsibilities.
• Must pass a drug screen, including nicotine testing, and adhere to facility policies, including flu vaccination (no exemptions accepted).
• RTO (Request for Time Off) submissions must be included on the coversheet.
• The facility is nicotine-free; candidates must be tested accordingly.
