Registered Nurse - Pacu

As a Registered Nurse in our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you will play a vital role in providing exceptional post-operative care to patients of all ages, including complex neuro, bariatric, transplant, and robotic surgery cases. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a leading facility equipped with advanced technology and a collaborative team committed to excellence.Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU-specific experience
• Critical care and emergency department experience
• Proficiency in managing critical care drips, basic ventilator management, chest tube and ICP monitoring, EVD drains
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries, neuro-spine, neuro-vascular, and general surgeries
• Ability to recover patients with complex needs such as neuro, transplant, and cardio/thoracic patients
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Demonstrated competence in EKG interpretation (pass EKG competency exam)
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Prior exposure to Vascular, Urology, and Transplant surgeries
• Cardio/Thoracic experience
• Experience with robotic surgeries (Da Vinci)
• Bilingual abilities are a plus

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Current RN license in the state
• At least 2 years of PACU experience in an acute care setting
• Previous experience in a busy, high-acuity hospital environment

Other Requirements:

• Must pass an EKG competence exam prior to start
• Willingness to work the 6/1/2026 start date and adhere to scheduled shifts (Mon-Fri, 10:30-19:00)
• On-call responsibilities once per week and one weekend per month
• No sleep room available; callback required with a 30-minute response time
• Holiday call rotation required (working 2 out of 3 major holidays)
• Decline if more than 7 days of RTO during the contract; extensions required for additional time off
• Proper scrubs in Pewter Grey
