• Minimum of 2 years of recent, perm staff RN experience in acute care settings.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Proven expertise in stroke management, ventilator care, intubation/extubation assistance, CVL management/placement, Foley catheter care, and tube feedings via NGT or PEG.
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to orientation.
• Strong clinical skills, including stroke care and ventilator management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to float to MedSurg units comfortably.

Additional Skills That Are a Plus:

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system.
• Familiarity with PICC/midline placements by IV/VAT team.
• Knowledge of hospitalist, therapy, and ancillary support services.
• First-time traveler candidates with at least 2 years of permanent staffing experience in acute care.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Current RN licensure.
• At least 2 years of recent ICU or med-surg background.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and handle multiple patient types, including respiratory failure, strokes, sepsis, renal failure, neuro conditions, and surgical patients.

Other Requirements:

• Must be separated from previous employment for at least 1 year if previously employed as a permanent staff.
• Must adhere to unit dress code: pewter scrub color; gray, white, or black T-shirts with WK monogram; gray or black jackets.
• Must wear badges above the waist and in full view.
• No on-call requirement; work schedule includes every other weekend rotation, 3- or 4-day shifts, with some holiday coverage.
• Ability to work in multiple units including Stepdown, Stroke, and MedSurg, with frequent float to MedSurg.
• Respectful and professional conduct necessary; no cell phone use or earbuds during patient care.
