Registered Nurse - PCU

• Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU RN experience
• Valid and current RN license
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to deployment
• Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips, insulin, and vasopressors (e.g., Esmolol, Cardene, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Levophed, etc.)
• Strong assessment, wound care, and central line management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to manage and monitor complex patient conditions with accuracy and attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills:

• LVAD certification (preferred)
• Experience with managing venous sheaths, TR Bands, temporary pacemakers
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Additional certifications such as CHTS or specialized ICU training

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN/BScN)
• At least 2 years of acute care RN experience in a similar hospital setting
• Prior experience with cardiac, respiratory failure, CVA, DKA, sepsis, post-surgical, or cardiac catheterization patient populations

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work every other weekend, with flexible scheduling (4 days one week, 3 days the next)
• Willingness to work 2-3 major holidays per year
• Must wear proper scrubs (gray, white, or black with WK monogram), badges, and adhere to hospital dress code
• Willing to work floating to other Medical Stepdown units or Med-Surg as needed
• No on-call responsibilities; standard schedule only
• Parking available in designated areas
