Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar, challenging unit.
- Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, cardiac procedures, cardiac drips, PCI.
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH.
- Traveler experience: Open to first-time travelers.
- Locals accepted.
Job Details
- Target Ratios: 1:5-6 patients.
- Contract Duration: 13-26 weeks.
- Work Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15).
- Call Requirement: Based on patient census.
- Float Requirement: Yes.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, with 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period.
Patient Diagnoses
- Primary cardiac and stroke unit.
- Pre/post care for pacemaker implantation, cardiac catheterization, and more.
- Manage drips such as Cardiazem, Dopamine, Amiodarone.
Special Procedures and Equipment
- Titrate cardizem drips.
- High-flow O2, Non-Rebreather Mask, Bipap for chronic use.
- Utilize telemetry and pulse ox equipment.
Unit Systems
- Medication: Pyxis.
- Documentation: Dimensions (EPIC).
- Communication: SBAR.
Additional Information
- Self-scheduling with leadership oversight.
- 36-hour orientation in the first week.
- Dress Code: Navy blue or white scrubs, Novant t-shirts allowed. No crocs with holes.
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start.
