STROKE Patients is one of their largest patient populations

Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:Skills: Arterial line management

JOB DETAILS:-RATIOS: Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12-SHIFT: *36 Hours Can Be Offered-Unit Will Accept 13 Weeks!-12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15

RTO: 7 Days MAX for AYA AUTO OFFER

-Call Requirement: NONE-Float Requirement: YES-Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We are a comprehensive stroke center. Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring)

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Comprehensive Stroke Center

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun.

UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

SCHEDULING TYPE: Per the Unit Needs

UNIT ORIENTATION: 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights

SCRUBS: Navy blue & White.

INTERNAL NOTES

Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for, this specialtyMUST have 2 YEARS in NEURO ICU, IF NOT PLEASE REDIRECTSTRONG Neuro Critical Care Background, not just general ICU. If they do not have, PLEASE DO NOT SEND!
