Position Overview
A reputable Level I Trauma Center in Kansas City is seeking caring and motivated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses to join a high-performing Med/Surg team.
This role provides the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population—including medical, surgical, cardiac, orthopedic, neurologic, and nephrology patients—while expanding your clinical skills in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments in accordance with standards of care and disease-specific protocols.
Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Provide direct patient care and delegate appropriately to non-licensed staff per scope of practice.
Deliver patient and family education, including emotional and cultural support tailored to individual needs.
Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 1 year of acute-care RN experience (recent experience not required).
Education
ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
Licensure/Certification
Active RN license in Missouri or Compact RN license.
BLS certification required upon hire.

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 6:1
